In the past, every family was basically equipped with a refrigerator, but often the refrigerator only used the factory configuration, which often only met the problem of stacking, but could not meet the problem of neat storage and convenient storage. Therefore, various refrigerator storage boxes were born in this process. When choosing refrigerator storage boxes, we often consider size, design, and even price, but ignore a key factor-material. The author believes that the choice of materials is particularly critical, involving issues such as health, safety and cost. The refrigerator storage boxes on the market are mainly made of plastic, glass or metal, and each material has unique advantages and limitations.
1. Glass material: Although glass storage boxes perform well in terms of aesthetics and odorlessness, their heavy weight and fragility may cause inconvenience in daily use. In addition, glass materials are usually more expensive and have a relatively low cost-effectiveness. They are often idle due to the beauty of purchase and various problems after use.
2. Metal materials: Metal refrigerator storage boxes are generally used with plastic covers. Currently, stainless steel materials are more common on the market. This material has advantages in durability, but they are not suitable for microwave ovens and are usually expensive. Most importantly, the appearance is average and does not conform to the usage style of modern people.
3. Plastic materials: In contrast, plastic storage boxes stand out for their lightness, durability and cost efficiency. They are not easy to break, easy to clean, and a variety of designs and sizes can meet various storage needs. More importantly, high-quality food-grade plastics also perform well in terms of safety, which is both practical and economical. It is recommended to choose food-grade PET, PP and other materials.
Personally, I tend to recommend plastic storage boxes. Although they are less durable, they perform better in terms of food safety and appearance. At the same time, I am also thinking about whether more innovative materials can be developed and applied in this field.
